Prof Dato’ Dr.Khoo Kay Kim is a well known Malaysian Hostorian. His current position is a Professor (History), University of Malaya.He was born in Kampar, Perak Darul Ridzuan on the 28 March, 1937. He Married to Datin Rathi and had 3 sons ( Eddin Khoo, Rubin Khoo,Mavin Khoo).
	He Attended English school in the morning and Chinese school in the afternoon. In 1960, he obtained B. A. (hons) in history, from the University Of Malaya, Singapore. In 1967, M. A. History, University Of Malaya, Singapore and in 1974, Ph. D. History, University Of Malaya Kuala Lumpur. His Career Profile started in 1964 – 1966 Tutor, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. 1966 – 1967 Assistant Lecturer (temporary), University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. In 1967 – Jul 1968 Assistant Lecturer, University Of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur Jul 1974 Professor, University Of Malaya, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur. In May 1973 – 1975 Acting Head, History Department, University Of Malaya. May 1975 Professor, History Department University Of Malaya. He was honoured the J.S.M Johan Setia Mahkota in Jun 1983 and in April 1987 he was honoured the D.P.M.P darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak, Dato'.
	His Publications are the Transformation & Democratisation, by Khoo Kay Kim, Pelanduk Publications in 1971. 1992 - “His Majesty Sultan Azlan Shah : Biography”. He was also involved in the voluntary organisations in September 4th,1995 as an Advisor, Malaysian University of Southern California Alumni (MUSCA).
	Social/Recreational Clubs: 1964 – Track-and-field Judge, South East Asia Peninsuar Games (SEAP). Apr 1995 Director, Sports Centre (University Malaya) A well-known academician, Professor Khoo has written several books on history used by our school children.
